“It’s alright for men to do it, but not women?” A Look At Double Standards.

The taboo has been in existence for centuries. Yes, the behavior is wrong and immoral but guys can get away with things like that because society allows us too.

We can fart, pick our noses, fight, swear, etc and it will be deemed “manly behavior”.

In all reality, men have been groomed to be ignorant and self-centered with no real repercussions.

For example, a boy can go out and play in the dirt. He’s being a “boy”. But if a girl gets curious about the dirt? I think you know where I’m going with that.

Men have been given a relatively low set of standards. And it’s not just ourselves setting them-again-it’s society. Like Mario said, it’s sort of just the order of things.

Overall, women buckled and really didn’t chastise us or stand up for themselves, leaving most guys to believe that this accepted behavior. And, for the most part today, it is.

As sad as it is, if women want men to change, they’re going to have to change. Because, if a man isn’t challenged, he isn’t going to grow.

And, as harsh as it may sound, the majority of women really don’t offer a challenge in the first place.
